The Series
The Knights hold a 1-0 series lead, as the only other previous meeting between The V-Hawks and Knights took place on Nov. 18, 1982, where the Orange and Black defeated Viterbo 88-62.
Wartburg
In the season opening victory over Cornell College, senior guard
Jaran Sabus (Urbandale) scored 16 points on five of seven shooting, including going two of four from three-point distance. Sophomore guard
Max Smith Drahos (Cedar Rapids) scored 12 and recorded a career-high five steals, while junior center
Ryan Stulken (Walford) pitched in 12 points and six rebounds.
Viterbo University
The V-Hawks are coming off a 102-70 victory over East West University on Monday evening. Viterbo is led in scoring thus far by senior forward Jason Tichy at 14 points per game, with fellow senior forward Cade Anderson trailing behind at 12.4 points per game and leading the team in rebounding at 11.4 rebound per game. Viterbo is coached by Wayne Wagner, who enters his 20
th season at the helm of the program. He owns a career record of 274-326.
