LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Wartburg women's soccer team (13-5-1 overall) received an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament and will travel to face the No. 23 ranked UW-La Crosse (17-2-2) Saturday, Nov. 10 at 1:30 p.m.
The first two rounds will be hosted by UW-La Crosse. The other teams in this pod are No. 16 St. Thomas and Knox College. The winners of Saturday's game will play Sunday at 1 p.m.
This marks the seventh overall and second-straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the Orange and Black.

The Series
The Knights and Eagles have met a total of 11 times throughout each of their program's histories, with the Eagles holding the all-time series advantage at a record of 6-4-1. The last time these two programs met was on Sept. 12 of this season, where the Eagles defeated the Knights 2-1 and began their program-record 14 game win streak.
Wartburg
Wartburg is coming off a 3-2 loss in the American Rivers Conference Championship to Loras on Saturday. Leading the Knights in scoring this season is senior forward
Nicole Adair (Reinbeck) with 10 goals. She has added in a team-best eight assists to give her 28 total points on the season. Trailing Adair in scoring is fellow senior forward
Alyssa Drewelow (Cedar Rapids) with seven, freshman forward
Joy Smith (Polk City) with six, and freshman forward
Katie Luers (Middletown) with four.
Freshman goalkeeper
Marissa Lopez (Ankeny) leads the Knights in the net with 1,273 minutes of play. She has 68 saves and four shutouts en route to a season record of 11 wins, three losses and one tie.
UW-La Crosse
The Eagles are coming off a 3-1 victory over UW-Eau Claire in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday. Leading the Eagles in scoring this season is senior midfielder Cassie Handrick with 14 goals. Her seven assists rank tied for third on the team and give her a combined total of 35 points on the season. The Eagles other double-digit scorer this season is senior midfielder Margaret Harings, who has pitched in 10 goals of her own. Sophomore goalkeeper Lily Brock leads the Eagle's goalies in minutes (1,536), saves (56) and wins (14).
The Eagles are coached by Jason Murphy, who is coaching his fifth season with the UW-La Crosse women's soccer team. Last season, he led UW-La Crosse to the NCAA Division III Quarterfinals after securing home field advantage in the first and second round of the tournament. Murphy was named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2015, following his efforts that led the Eagles to their first-ever appearance in the NCAA DIII Tournament.
