Knights Host Kohawks

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg men's basketball team (14-9 overall, 7-7 IIAC) hosts Coe (9-14, 5-9) Wednesday at 8 p.m. The Knights are tied for fifth and the Kohawks are eighth on the conference standings.

The Series
Wartburg owns the all-time lead at 41-25. The Kohawks won the first meeting this season in Cedar Rapids, 69-65 on Jan. 6.

Wartburg
Three Knights average in double digits as junior Jaran Sabus (Urbandale) leads the team at 15.6 PPG. Seniors Sawyer Herman (Monticello) and junior Cam Kickbush (Reinbeck) follow at 12.5 and 11.1, respectively. Senior Nate Woeste (Atkins) rounds out the leading scorers with 10.6 PPG.

Sabus also has a team-high 5.7 rebounds/game. He is the league's seventh-leading scorer (16.9 PPG).

Woeste is now tied for 22nd with his 1,151 points, eighth with 124 three-point field goals, tied for sixth with 111 steals, and fourth with 351 free throws.

Kickbush is sixth in three-point field goals (154) and Sabus is tied for seventh in free throws (299).

Kickbush is eighth with his 60 three-point field goals.

Coe
Spencer Williams leads the Kohawks at 11.7 PPG and 6.7 rebounds/game. Tommy Hook and Nolan Timp join him in double figures at 11.3 and 10.1 PPG, respectively.

National Stat Rankings
Wartburg ranks in the top 100 of three statistical categories, which the NCAA released Monday.
 
The Knights rank 41st in personal fouls per game (15.6), 47th in fewest fouls (358), and 96th in free throws made (354).
 
Individually, three Knights rank in the top 100 of three statistical categories: Woeste ranks 80th in free-throw percentage (84.4), Kickbush ranks 56th in three-point field-goal percentage (42.3), and Sabus ranks 93rd in free throws made (97).
