AUBURNDALE, Fla.-- The Wartburg baseball team (2-1 overall) defeated Clark (2-1) 10-1 Sunday in its first game of the spring break game.

The game was scoreless until the fifth when the Cougars scored on an RBI groundout.

The Knights later compiled a 10-run sixth inning, which included a two-run triple by sophomore Tyler Nunemaker (Ely). Senior Zach Hovick (Roland) was 2-2 with a double and a two-run single in just that frame alone.

Senior Cody Hyler (Des Moines), Hovick, and Nunemaker all finished 2-4.

Senior Tanner Eckhart (Monticello, Minn.) earned the win as he threw six complete innings and struck out a career-best nine.
