WAVERLY, Iowa - The Wartburg College Knights men's basketball team (9-6 overall, 3-3 A-R-C) will take to the road to face Buena Vista University (8-8, 2-5) Wednesday at 8 p.m. The Knights are sixth in the American Rivers Conference standings, while the Beavers are eighth.

The Knights hold the all-time series lead at 82-60. The last time the programs faced, Wartburg fell to Buena Vista 77-66. The last time the Knights defeated the Beavers was on Jan. 15, 2018, in an 85-65 affair.

The Knights are coming off of an 89-73 defeat to No. 1 Nebraska Wesleyan University on Saturday. Leading the team and conference in scoring is senior guard

Cam Kickbush tied the single game program record by connecting on a career-high eight three-pointers versus Nebraska Wesleyan. On the season, Kickbush has made 52 three-pointers, giving him a career total of 217 and placing him third all-time in program history for career made three-pointers. Kickbush trails second place by one made trey (218) and first place by six (223). He currently stands 60 points away from totaling 1,000 total career points. Â

The Beavers are coming off of a 55-52 defeat to the University of Dubuque on Jan. 12. Leading the team in scoring is junior guard Timothy Jeffries at 13.7 points/game. Junior guards Dominic Sesma and Robert Hawkins join Jeffries in the double-digit club by averaging 12 points/game and 10.9 points/game, respectively. Hawkins leads the team in rebounding by pulling in 5.2 rebounds per game.
