WAVERLY, Iowa - The Wartburg men's soccer team will head to Indianola on Saturday, Nov. 2 to face Simpson College in the first round of the American Rivers Conference Tournament.

- Last season, the Knights hosted Nebraska Wesleyan in the first round. The game ended in a double overtime 0-0 draw with Wartburg advancing on PKs, 4-2, and advanced onto the semifinals
- Luther hosted Wartburg for the 2018 A-R-C Tournament semifinals where the Norse took a 2-1 win.
- In 2017, Simpson hosted the Orange and Black in the first round and took a 3-1 win over the Knights.
- Luther hosted Wartburg in the 2016 first round where the Norse had a 2-1 victory in overtime

- Dubuque hosted Wartburg in the 2011 first round where tge game ended in a 2-2 tie and Wartburg advanced on a 5-4 shootout
- Luther hosted the Knights in the 2011 semifinals where the Norse took a 2-0 victory
- Wartburg faced Central in the first round where the Knights advanced on a 2-1 victory over the Dutch
- The Knights fell to Loras 2-1 in the 2011 semifinals

- Senior Tanner Alderson and Junior Enrique Idehen each notched 10 goals for Simpson

The Knights earned a 1-0 road victory over the Luther Norse on Tuesday, Oct. 29. Ten minutes into the game,
Brady Arens scored the lone goal of the game, his second goal of the season, off an assist from a corner kick by
Nick Schwake. Wartburg's defense prevented Luther from tallying any goals for the duration of the game. The Norse had a 12-6 shot advantage with six on goal and a 5-2 corner kick advantage.
