Volleyball Sweeps Nebraska Wesleyan

WAVERLY, Iowa - The Wartburg volleyball team remained unbeaten during American Rivers Conference play with a 3-0 win over Nebraska Wesleyan Saturday afternoon at Levick Arena.

After having its five-match win streak snapped with a 3-2 loss at Cornell on Wednesday, the Knights bounced back with their eighth sweep on the year. Wartburg improves its overall record to 15-7 and 3-0 in the A-R-C.

Wartburg was efficient on the attack, hitting at a rate of .320, its second-best attacking percentage on the season.

Kylie Bildstein tallied a game-high 13 kills with a .579 attack percentage. Dani Johnson added seven kills and no errors with an impressive .636 attack rate. Lexi Groe and Jayme Willemssen also combined for 17 kills and at least a .400 attack percentage.

The Orange and Black forced 13 NWU errors through the first two sets, and recorded a .412 attack rate in the middle frame.

Claire Marsh notched 21 assists while Katie Foster registered 18 digs.

Next week, the Knights have a pair of A-R-C road matches at Simpson on Tuesday and Central on Friday.
