WAVERLY, Iowa - The Wartburg men's soccer team is set to kickoff its 2019 season hosting Westminster College (Mo.) on Friday, Aug. 30 at 7:30 p.m.

The Knights finished last season with an overall record of 9-7-3, finishing third in the American Rivers Conference with a 5-2-1 mark. Team captains Nick Schwake and Nathan Feiner look to lead the way, along with Riley Close, an All-Conference Honorable Mention in 2018.

Mike Madigan enters his third season at the helm of the program and has led Wartburg to back-to-back winning seasons while reaching the A-R-C Tournament semifinals for the first time in four years last season.

The 2019 campaign features nine non-conference games, including a pair of contests against ranked opponents; No. 12 St. Thomas and No. 20 UW-Platteville. The Knights begin conference action at Simpson on Sept. 28.
