WAVERLY, Iowa – The Wartburg women's soccer team moves to 5-0 on the season with a 3-2 victory over UW-Eau Claire.
Tonight's victory is a career marker for Coach Pins, as she lands on 100 career wins as head coach of the Knights.
In just the second minute of the game,
Gabby Corday found the back of the net for her first career goal. The Blugolds responded in the seventh minute, and the game was locked at 1-1 at halftime.
Joy Smith and
Kate Luers both scored goals in the second half. UW-Eau Claire answered back with a goal of their own with a few minutes to go, but the Knights come away with the 3-2 victory.
Wartburg will host Gustavus Adolphus tomorrow, September 14
