WAVERLY, Iowa - The Wartburg men's soccer team has a pair of weekend matches upcoming, hosting Macalester College Friday at 7:30 p.m. prior to heading to St. Paul, Minn. on Sunday to face No. 15-ranked University of St. Thomas.

The Knights opened its 2019 season with a 3-2 overtime thriller at home last Friday, as
Kevin Duque scored the game-winner for Wartburg with four seconds remaining in the first overtime period. The Knights came back to win in the second half when they were down by two goals.
Caleb Halleran scored two goals within four minutes tying up the match and sending the game into overtime.
Matchup Notes
- Last year the Knights fell to the Scots 2-1 in Minneapolis, Minn.
- Sunday's game will be the first meeting between the Knights and Tommies since 2013. Wartburg won that game 2-1 in overtime.
- Augsburg started their season with back-to-back ties against the University of Chicago and WashU at home and lost to the University of UW-Superior 3-1.
- St. Thomas won its home opener verse Washington (Mo.) 1-0 in St. Paul, Minn. The Tommies ended their game this past Sunday in a tie against Chicago in double overtime.
