The back-and-forth affair saw five lead changes and six ties. Wartburg ended the contest with a slight shooting advantage finishing the game 45.3% from the field compared to Edgewood's 42.9%. The Knights out rebounded the Eagles by nine and were lead by redshirt senior forward
Ryan Stulken who ripped down a team-high eight boards.Â
Simpson College
Simpson comes into the contest with a 0-0 ledger and are coming off a 14-13 overall and 7-9 American Rivers Conference record in the 2019-20 campaign. The Storm reached the semifinals of the A-R-C tournament before being knocked off by Nebraska Wesleyan University who would go on to win the tournament.
A year ago, Simpson averaged 83.8 points per game while only allowing 76.2 and finished the season with a 48.8% shooting percentage. The Storm are led by 10 upperclassmen including three seniors and seven juniors. Simpson lost its top-three scorers from the 2019-20 campaign due to graduation and sophomore guard Collin Lister is the top returning scorer averaging 7.3 points per game during his freshman season. The Knights lost both games against the Storm last season by a combined margin of 20 points.Â
