WAVERLY, Iowa – #18 women's soccer moved to 8-1-1 on the season and 2-0 in American Rivers Conference play after a 2-0 defeat of Coe College Saturday, Oct. 2.

The first goal of the match came early in the second half when

th minute coming from a
Sarah Campbell assist. The assist is Campbell's fourth of the season.
Wartburg would tack on another goal in the 71
st minute after
Emily Fontana buried a shot in the top left corner to push the Knights lead to 2-0. The goal marks back-to-back goals for Fontana.
The Knight's defense would continue to smother the Kohawk attack in the second half to hold on for a 2-0 shutout win. Coe finished the match with just one shot, and it was on goal.
Marissa Lopez played 86 minutes in goal tonight and recorded a save on the Coe's only shot in route to her fifth shutout win of the season.
