Last Time Out
The Knights were last in action Saturday, Oct. 2 at home for Senior Day where they defeated Coe College 5-0.
The shutout victory was the most goals Wartburg has scored this season thus far.
Caleb Halleran led the Knights offensively with two goals in the game. The other three goals came from three different players scoring their first goal of the season:
Tanner Shields,
Edvin Rizvic and
Nadim Gomez. Four out of the five goals were assisted for the Orange & Black and there is now nine players with a goal scored this season.
The Knights defense kept the Kohawks from recording any shots on goal throughout the whole match. Wartburg had an advantage in total shots 30-2.
Hamline University
Hamline University comes into the contest with a 0-3-2 record in its last five matchups. In the last match, the Pipers were defeated by Macalester College 2-0. Wartburg defeated Macalester back on Sept. 6 2-0.
The Pipers are led by Robert Cooper offensively, who has recorded four goals and one assist for a total of nine points. Hamline has five people with goals so far this season. Luke Rimington has started all 10 games in goal for the Pipers and has compiled 49 saves with a save percentage of 70%.
Hamline and Wartburg have met twice since 2015 and both teams have one win in those two games. The last matchup came on Sept. 15, 2019 at Salzwedel Field when the Knights defeated the Pipers 1-0 in overtime.
