WAVERLY, Iowa - Wartburg men's basketball will resume the season after eight days with no competition when they travel to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. to compete in the Cruzin Classic on Sunday and Monday, Dec. 19 and 20.

Coach Peth

Dick Peth recorded his 600
th win as a head coach in division III basketball. Peth is one of two active Division III men's basketball head coaches with at least 600 career victories.
 
Last Time Out
Wartburg men's basketball continued a great start to the season on Saturday, Dec. 11 with a 77-59 win over Simpson College to move to 9-1 overall and 3-0 in American Rivers Conference play.
 
Wartburg scored the ball more efficiently than Simpson from the field, beyond the arc, and from the free throw line in the victory. The Knights had a 49.2% to 34.9% advantage in shooting from the field, a 40.9% to 25% margin in three-point shooting, and a 75% to 52.9% edge from the free throw line.
 
 
Team Leaders
Through 10 games Olson leads the Knights in scoring, rebounding, and steals per game. The senior is averaging 16.4 points per game on 56.6% shooting from the field and 45.5% from three-point range. Olson has grabbed 57 total rebounds this season to average a team-high 5.7 per game. The Osage, Iowa native is leading the A-R-C in steals per game with 3.7. The senior guard also has added 5.6 assists per game to help lead the offense.
 
Molstead has been a key piece of the Knights' offense so far this season, leading the team in assists and three-point shooting. The Charles City, Iowa native is averaging 6.1 assists per game and has made 21 total threes this season while shooting 47.7% from beyond the arc. Molstead has added 15.1 points per game for the Orange & Black and has shot 48.6% from the field. The junior guard is also leading the team in minutes played this season with an average of 32.8 minutes per game.
 
The Knights enter the Cruzin Classic shooting 53% from the field and 38.5% from three as a team while holding opponents to shooting 39.2% and 32.3% respectively. The Orange and Black have a +11.8-scoring margin this season and an average of +7 advantage in rebounding per game.
 
Roanoke
No. 10 Roanoke College enters the contest with a 6-1 overall record and 1-1 in conference play. The Maroons started the season 5-0 but lost their lost contest 62-50 to the now No. 2 Randolph-Macon at home.
 
The Maroons are led offensively by Kasey Draper, who averages 20.3 points per game on 54.5% shooting from the field and 28.6% from three. Draper also averages six rebounds per game along with just under one steal per game.
 
Roanoke averages 73.7 points per game offensively on 50.7% shooting from the field while allowing 60 points per game on 38.2% shooting from the field.
 
Baldwin Wallace
Baldwin Wallace enters the Cruzin Classic with a 5-3 record overall and a 1-2 mark in conference play. In their last contest the Yellow Jackets lost to now No. 8 Marietta 83-71 on Sunday, Dec. 12.
 
The Yellow Jackets are led offensively by Anthony Mazzeo's team-high 20.9 points per game from 45.4% shooting from the field and 45% from three. The junior guard also averages three rebounds per game along with 2.8 assists.
