Last Time Out
The Knights began their conference only campaign on Saturday, March 27 and came away with an 8-0 victory over Buena Vista University. Freshman Kyle Tremelling headlined the match when he came away with a hat trick in his first collegiate game. Junior Kevin Duque also had a solid start to the season when he totaled two goals on two shots.

Wartburg's defense was on full display throughout the contest as it held the Beavers to just two shots and none on target. Bo McMahon, Brennon Woody and Patrick McMahon all received time in net for the Knights but none had to make a save. Freshman midfielder Yushin Gossin paced the Orange & Black in the assist column with two. Jack Palen and Sam Thomann made their long awaited return after being sidelined with injuries last season and each recorded a goal.

Wartburg totaled 22 shots, including 16 on goal and held a 12-0 advantage in corner kicks taken. The Knights also converted twice from the penalty spot.

University of Dubuque
The Spartans come into the match following a 2-0 defeat to Simpson College in their season opener. The UD offense failed to find a rhythm in the contest as they registered just seven shots, including three on net. Simpson scored once in each half and pushed its lead to two with a penalty shot in the 50th minute.

Mathias Ericsson paced the Spartans with two shots and goalkeeper Brandon White played the full 90 and totaled two saves. Junior Glorie Luwara and senior White both return for UD after earning All-Conference Team nominations last season. All-Conference Honorable Mention members Lucas Von Braun and Joshua Merkel will also be featured on the Spartans' roster.
