Late-game heroics from
Jack Palen propelled the Knights to a 2-1 victory over Coe College on Saturday, April 3. Wartburg broke through 12 minutes into the second period with
Curtis Ratzer's first career goal, assisted by
Payton Chapman.
Late in the game, Coe tied the match at the 84 minute mark, but Palen and the Knights responded quickly with the game-winning goal just three minutes later. Chapman recorded his second assist of the contest during the game-winner. Palen and Chapman each tallied two shots on goal, while
Caleb Halleran led the Knights with five shots.

The Storm enter the match following a double-overtime tie against Central College on Wednesday, April 7. Simpson has downed Dubuque and Buena Vista in conference play to stand with a 2-0-1 record. In the three games, Simpson has conceded a total of three goals and has knocked in 12 of its own.
