The Knights come into this matchup as the #3 ranked team in region IX according to the United Soccer Coaches regional poll. The Orange & Black have already faced three ranked opponents from region IX and Monday's match will mark the fourth because St. Olaf is #7 in the rankings.

Last Time Out
The Knights last competition came Sunday, Sept. 12 where they were defeated by North Central College 2-0. Wartburg had opportunities to score late in both halves, but a stingy North Central defense kept any shots on goal from going in.
The Knights were led offensively by
Tanner Shields and
Cody Christoffersen who each recorded two shot attempts with one being on goal.
Brennon Woody played the full game in goal and recorded two saves.
St. Olaf
St. Olaf has started the season 3-1-1 and has earned a no. 7 spot in the first region IX poll of the regular season. The Oles are coming off a 4-1 win at Bethel University on Wednesday, Sept. 15 and on Sunday, Sept. 12, a 1-1 draw against the University of Chicago, who is currently ranked 15
th nationally.
St. Olaf is led offensively by Victor Gaulmin, who has scored in two straight matches and has three goals on the year. Austin Williams is the main goalkeeper for the Oles and has recorded 12 saves and has a save percentage of .706 through five games.
The last matchup between these teams came in 2019, when St. Olaf defeated Wartburg 1-0 in overtime.
