WAVERLY, Iowa—Tiffany Pins has resigned as the Wartburg Women's Soccer Head Coach as announced by Athletics Director
John Cochrane.
Pins, a 2005 graduate, compiled a 132-53-27 record in 11 seasons at the helm. Pins coaches 20 All-Region athletes, six conference MVPs, 61 All-Conference honorees, three conference championships, and two conference tournament championships. Pins was named the Conference Coach of the Year and the NSCAA Regional Coach of the Year in 2015.

John Cochrane for the opportunity to lead the women's soccer program for the last 11 years," said Pins. "It has been an honor to coach at my alma mater. Thank you to all my colleagues that I was fortune to work with and learn from. I want to specifically thank
Scott Schara for all his commitment to me and this program for 9 years. I have been so blessed to coach so many amazing young women. Words cannot express my love and gratitude for the women who have been part of this program during my time. I am so proud of what we built here, and I know it will continue to be one of the top soccer programs. Wartburg will always be special place for me and my family."
Pins coached seven of Wartburg's nine appearances in the NCAA Tournament. The Knights advanced as far as the Sweet Sixteen round in 2015.

"Her impact on our program will far-reaching and she has established a legacy of excellence that has positioned Wartburg Women's Soccer as one of the premier NCAA Division III programs in the country. We wish Tiffany and her family nothing but the very best in their future endeavors."
Pins, who played for Wartburg during her undergraduate career, helped start Wartburg on a strong incline to success. The three-time program Most Valuable Player and 2004 all-Iowa Conference honoree starred on squads that won 10-or-more matches twice including a 16-3-1 mark during her senior season.
Pins will become the head coach at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. Her duties will begin in June.
A national search for her replacement will begin immediately.
