CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The American Rivers Conference released its 2022 women's tennis inaugural preseason coaches poll on Friday, Aug. 26 and Wartburg was voted to finish third overall, totaling 45 points. 

1. Luther, 64 points (8 first-place votes)
2. Coe, 57 points (one first-place vote)
3. Wartburg, 45 points
4. Loras, 44 points
5. Central, 38 points
6. Nebraska Wesleyan, 30 points
7. Simpson, 23 points
8. Buena Vista, 13 points
9. Dubuque, 10 points

The Knights finished the 2021  season with an overall record of 12-15 and a mark of 4-4 in the A-R-C to finish tied for fifth in the conference. Wartburg will be led by head coach Chris Gustas, who enters his seventh season at the helm of the program. The Knights return both all-conference honorees.
