Three Second-Half Goals Lift Carleton Over Wartburg

WAVERLY, Iowa – Women's soccer fell to Carleton College (14-1-1, 8-0-1 MIAC) 4-1 at home on Wednesday, Oct. 18 behind three second-half goals from Carleton. The Knights move to 5-9-1 overall and remain 3-3 in American Rivers Conference play.

    • Carleton got on the board early after a corner kick was finished by Anna Borkowski in the third minute to make it 1-0
    • Wartburg responded in the 23rd minute after a long pass from Natalie Thiesfeld was corralled by Morgan Hovis, who beat the defense and the keeper to even the match at one apiece
    • Following a Wartburg corner kick, Lauren Kirkle attempted an on-target shot in the 29th minute that was saved
