Women's Soccer Fall to Simpson on the Road

Match Summary
  • First Half
    • Wartburg generated two corner kick attempts early which resulted in a Meredith Connor shot on goal that was saved
    • Alena Miller made her first saves of the day in the 11th and 12th minute
    • A foul in the 17th minute led to a Simpson penalty kick, which was successful to make the score 1-0
    • Simpson struck again in the 26th minute with a goal from Alexis Ponce, to make the score 2-0
    • Two minutes later, Ponce found Ally Hoffa for another Storm goal
    • Abigail Milburn fired a shot on goal in the 37th minute that was saved by the Storm
    • Simpson led 3-0 at the break
  • Second Half
    • Kyra Lenhart started the second half at goalkeeper
    • The Knights drew a foul that led to a penalty kick in the 47th minute
      • Mya Jansen converted the penalty kick to make the score 3-1
    • Cassie Nash scored goals in the 52nd and 56th minutes to push the Storm lead to 5-1
    • Hoffa scored again for Simpson in the 61st minute to make the score 6-1
