Knights Fall to UNW 15-2

WAVERLY, Iowa – Women's lacrosse fell to the University of Northwestern (Minn.) 15-2 at home in a Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference matchup on Saturday, Apr. 22.
 
Game Summary
  • First Period
    • It was all UNW to begin the first, as they stormed out to a 7-0 lead with 4:20 left in the period
    • The Knights got on the board when Lindsay Langford found Britta Solheim for a score to make it 7-1
    • The Eagles tacked on another goal in the final two minutes to make the score 8-1
  • Second Period
    • UNW scored three goals in the first six minutes of the second period to take an 11-1 lead
    • Wartburg's defense held the Eagles scoreless until 2:01 left in the period, when UNW scored a shorthanded goal to make the score 12-1
