Women's Soccer Shutout Coe 3-0

WAVERLY, Iowa – Wartburg women's soccer celebrated Senior Day with a 3-0 win over Coe College on Saturday, Sept. 30.  The Knights move to 3-6-1 overall and are now 1-1 in American Rivers Conference play.

    • The Knights struck early with a goal from Ellianna Trilling in the fifth minute
    • Wartburg's offense controlled possession early and often in the match
    • Minutes later, Natalie Thiesfeld beat the keeper for a score with an assist from Paige Lienhard to make the score 2-0 Knights
    • Madison Frush and Trilling put two more shots on goal before half, but both attempts were saved

    • The Knights offense continued to attack in the second half and Wartburg scored in the 51st minute
