Men's Soccer Earns 1-0 Homecoming Win Over Central

WAVERLY, Iowa – Men's soccer picked up an American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) win 1-0 over Central College on Saturday, Oct. 19. The win moves Wartburg to 7-4-3 overall and 4-2 in A-R-C play, while Central is now 6-6-2 overall and 2-2-1 in A-R-C play.
 
Match Summary
  • First Half
    • Wartburg had two shot attempts and a corner kick opportunity in the first 10 minutes of play, but were unable to put any shots on target
    • The first shot on goal of the match came in the 24th minute when Central fired a shot that was saved by Henry Eckert for the Knights
    • Neither team was able to control possession and the score remained 0-0 headed to halftime
      • Five total shots and one shot on goal between both teams in the first half
  • Second Half
