Women's Soccer Draw on the Road Against Augustana College

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Women's soccer battled Augustana College to a 0-0 draw in a nonconference matchup on the road Wednesday, Oct. 2. The draw brings Wartburg's overall record to 5-4-2 (1-0) and moves Augustana to 7-1-2 (1-0) overall.

  • First Half            
    • Both Maddy Badding and Lauren Kirkle had shot opportunities in the first 10 minutes of play
    • Nikayla Youngblut recorded the first on-target shot of the match in the 14th minute that was saved by
      • Minutes later Greta Rothe also fired a shot on goal that was saved
    • Following a Wartburg corner kick, Kenna Hemann had a shot deflect off the left post and then Claudia Sewell fired a shot that just missed being on target
    • Mackenzie Ceschan made her first save of the match in the 30th minute
