Women's Soccer Defeat Coe 1-0 on the Road

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Women's soccer continued American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) play on the road with a 1-0 win against Coe College on Saturday, Oct. 5. The win moves Wartburg to 6-4-2 overall and 2-0 in A-R-C matches, while Coe is now 3-7-1 overall and 0-1 in A-R-C play.

  • First Half
    • Claudia Sewell, Maddy Badding and Sami Webster all had shot opportunities in the first eight minutes
      • Each team traded blocked shot attempts over the next five minutes
    • Lauren Kirkle fired a shot that missed the target and then minutes later buried her next shot attempt into the net in the 18th minute to give Wartburg a 1-0 advantage
