WAVERLY, Iowa – Women's soccer battled Simpson College and fell 1-0 on Saturday, Oct. 24 at home. The loss brings Wartburg to 4-2-1 in American Rivers Conference play and 8-6-3 overall.

• First Half
  • Simpson recorded the first shot on goal of the match in the seventh minute that was saved by Mackenzie Ceschan
  • The Knights defense stifled Simpson on back-to-back corner kick attempts in the 16^th minute and then Ceschan made another save a minute later

  • Kirkle fired a deep shot on goal in the 65^th minute that was saved by the Simpson keeper
  • Neither team was able to record another shot on goal and Simpson was able to hold off Wartburg for a 1-0 win
