Knights Defeat Beavers 3-0 on the Road to Close Regular Season Play

STORM LAKE, Iowa – Men's soccer closed the regular season on the road with a 3-0 shutout win against Buena Vista University on Tuesday, Oct. 29. The Knights are now 6-2 in American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) play and 9-4-4 overall.

    • The Knights got on the board early when Aidan Mott found Lwings Kabula for a goal in the third minute of play to make it 1-0
    • Henry Eckert made a save in the 21st minute after BVU's first shot on goal
    • In the 34th minute, Kaleb Wendy beat the keeper for a goal with an assist from Kadin Bolin
    • Wartburg held a 2-0 lead headed into halftime
  • Second Half
    • Kabula and Landon Hartsell both recorded off-target shots to begin the second half
    • Both Carson Kay and Curtis Ratzer recorded shots following corner kicks in the 65th minute
    • Alima Mmunga found Itsuki Ebisawa who fired a shot that was deflected off the post and over to Mott, who finished the score in the 67th minute to push the lead to 3-0
