DES MOINES—The Wartburg Dance Team competed at the State Championships, hosted by the Iowa State Dance & Drill Team Association, on Thursday, Dec. 5..

The Knights placed in all three events:

• Hip Hop: 3rd/5 teams. Total score: 356    average score: 89
• Pom: 3rd/6 teams      Total score: 347   average score: 86.75
• Jazz: received a Division I rating    Total score: 336    Average score: 84

Notes:

• Jazz has received a Division I rating for the past seven-straight years.
• This was the highest placing in pom and hip hop since 2022
• Hip hop set a new school record in total score and average score
• Pom total score set a new school record
