CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa-- Wartburg College had 34 student-athletes named American Rivers Conference All-Academic, the A-R-C office announced today.

To be eligible for the A-R-C All-Academic Team honors, a student-athlete must be on the eligibility list for the sport of nomination, at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence and attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better (on a 4.0 scale).
 
Wartburg College placed the second highest total on the winter all-academic team with 34, followed by Luther College with 32. 
 
Women's basketball led all sports with 79 honorees, followed by men's basketball with 50. Wrestling garnered 44 All-Academic honorees and women's swimming & diving with 35. There were 26 competitive dancers to earn this recognition. Men's swimming & diving and competitors cheerleading had 21 student-athletes each earn winter all-academic honors.
