Macalester Defeats Men's Soccer 3-0

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Men's soccer suffered its first loss of the season on the road against Macalester on Friday, Sept. 6. The Knights move to 1-1-1 overall and Macalester is now 3-1 overall.

  • First Half
    • Macalester recorded a shot within the first minute that was saved by Henry Eckert
    • The Scots were able to record three more shots over the next 15 minutes, but none found the target
    • Eckert made a save in the 35th minute, but the Scots broke the tie minutes later when a strike found the back of the net to make it 1-0
    • The Knights had a corner kick opportunity in the final minute of the half but Macalester held off Wartburg to take a 1-0 lead into the break
  • Second Half
    • After an early save by Wartburg, a Knights foul led to a penalty attempt for the Scots that was converted to make the score 2-0
