RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Women's soccer secured its first win of the season today with a neutral site win over Illinois Wesleyan 2-0 on Saturday, Sept. 7. The Knights are now 1-2 overall and Illinois Wesleyan falls to 0-3.

  • Natalie Thiesfeld had the first shot of the match in the second minute but it was saved by Illinois Wesleyan
  • In the 14^th minute, Nikayla Youngblut hit Sami Webster with a pass that Webster finished for the first score of the match

  • IWU tired to answer in the 15^th minute, but the on-target attempt was saved by Mackenzie Ceschan

  • Wartburg had a corner kick late that led to a shot on goal from Skyler Oldenburg but it was saved by Illinois Wesleyan
  • Ceschan made another save in the 89^th minute to closeout a 2-0 win
