WAVERLY, Iowa – Men's basketball got back in the win collum on Wednesday, Jan. 29 after a 73-65 win over Luther College at home. The win brings Wartburg to 11-8 and 4-6 in American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) play, while Luther is now 1-17 overall and 0-10 in A-R-C play.

- First Half
- After a Luther three to open the game, Wartburg responded when Luke Ladwig connected with Austin Bienemann for an alley-oop slam that got the crowd on its feet early
- The Knights went on a 7-2 run led by a three pointer from Richie Rosenblum that put Wartburg ahead 9-7 after three minutes of play
- Luther responded with a 9-3 run that gave the Norse a 16-12 lead with 12:15 left in the half
- Bienemann connected on a three pointer for Wartburg's only points during the run and then ended the run with a putback dunk following a missed three pointer

- Williams scored in the paint to stop the run and then Bienemann connected on another three pointer as well as slammed home another dunk to give Wartburg a 45-40 lead with just over 15 minutes left in the game
- The Wartburg lead stretched to 51-42 with 11:37 remaining after Ladwig buried a three pointer
- Luther went on a 9-0 run to tie the game at 51 before Gabe Trujillo found an open Isaac Besh for three to give Wartburg a 54-51 lead
- The Norse continued to chip away at the lead, but after it was cut down to two points Yungtum scored back-to-back buckets to keep Wartburg in front 63-57 with 5:26 left to play
- Both Rosenblum and Ladwig made massive three pointers down the stretch to lift Wartburg to a 73-65 win over Luther
