KANSAS CITY, MO. – Wartburg women's soccer earned its third-straight United Soccer Coaches Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award as announced on Tuesday, Dec. 31.
In all, 64 men's and women's teams received either the Gold, Silver or Bronze version of the College Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award, which recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the laws of the game, as reflected by the number of yellow caution cards or red ejection cards they are shown by referees throughout the season.
Wartburg received the bronze version of the award this year after finishing the 2024 season with seven yellow cards and no red cards.
Two schools received the gold version, 32 earned the silver award and 30 received the bronze version. Wartburg was one of only two American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) schools to be honored.
