LINCOLN, Neb. – Men's soccer fought back from a 1-0 deficit in the second half to defeat Nebraska Wesleyan University 2-1 on Tuesday, Oct. 14. The Knights comeback was led by goals from both
Flori Gembo and
Blake Whitlow (assisted by
Diego Sanchez).
The Knights are now 5-6-1 overall and 3-1 in American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) play, while NWU is now 4-5-4 overall and 2-1-1 in A-R-C action.

- Lwings Kabula recorded the first shot of the match in the ninth minute when he got space and fired a shot on goal that was saved by NWU
- Over the next 12 minutes, the Prairie Wolves had two off-target shots and then in the 22nd minute Kaleab Wendy fired a shot on goal that was saved by NWU
- Both Kabula and Wendy recorded their second shots on goal in the 24th and 28th minutes respectively, but the score remained 0-0

- The Knights were able to take their first lead of the match in the 76th minute when Sanchez made a cross to Whitlow, who made the finish with a strong header and put Wartburg ahead 2-1
