WAVERLY, Iowa – Women's soccer scored three goals in the second half against Coe College in route to a 3-1 American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) victory at home on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
Wartburg moves to 7-8-1 overall and 3-2-1 in A-R-C play, while Coe is now 2-10-4 overall and 0-6 in A-R-C play.

- Wartburg applied pressure to the Coe defense right from the first whistle as Kenna Hemann and Sami Webster both recorded shots on goal in the first two minutes of play
- In the 11th minute, Nikayla Youngblut fired a shot on goal that was saved and led to a corner kick where Webster headed another shot on goal that was saved to keep the match at 0-0
- Both Youngblut and Paige Lienhard had shots on goal saved in the 21st and 22nd minutes

- Wartburg would regain the lead in the 64th minute after Lienhard placed a free kick perfectly for Webster to score with a header to put the Knights back in front 2-1
- Webster added another goal in the 69th minute after collecting her own deflection and beating the keeper to push the Wartburg lead to 3-1
- Youngblut tried to add her second goal of the day in the 77th minute, but the Kohawks made another save to keep the score 3-1
- Mackenzie Ceschan made a late save for the Knights in the 88th minute to close out a 3-1 Wartburg win at home
