Joey Anderson paces the Knights' rushing attack with 374 yards and five touchdowns on 69 carries, averaging 74.8 yards per game. He's followed by
Dawson Rud with 263 yards and
Carson Bruns with 105, as Wartburg has combined for eight rushing touchdowns this season.
Under center,
Leo Dodd has thrown for 488 yards (122 ypg) with three touchdowns and a 56.8% completion rate, while
Josh Papesh, making his second start of the year against Luther, added 354 passing yards on 35 completions (64.8%).
In the receiving game,
Dylan Swanstrom leads with 22 receptions for 209 yards (41.8 ypg).
Justis Bachman posted a breakout performance against Luther, hauling in five catches for 92 yards to bring his season total to 186.
Jagger Schmitt tops the group with two touchdown grabs and 168 yards on 12 receptions. The Knights average 23.4 points per game and 355.6 yards of total offense, with a near-even balance between the run (181.8 ypg) and the pass (173.8 ypg), while limiting opponents to just 6.0 points per contest.
Defensively, Wartburg remains one of the toughest matchups in Division III. The Knights are holding opponents to just 220.8 total yards per game, ranking 15th nationally and first in the American Rivers Conference. Their 30.6 rushing yards allowed per game ranks fifth in the nation, and the secondary has produced nine interceptions, second in Division III and the A-R-C. Overall, the defense has forced 13 turnovers, the fourth-most in the country.

ABOUT THE SPARTANS
Dubuque comes in after a home win over Nebraska Wesleyan (W, 21-10) last Saturday. The Spartans are 0-2 in road games this season. Quarterback Joey Rhomberg leads a passing attack that averages 285.6 yards per game. Rhomberg leads the A-R-C with 23.80 completions per contest and second with 16 passing scores. The Spartan defense leads the conference in the red zone (65.4%), and tallies seven team tackles for loss (7.0).
HISTORY ON THE LINE ON HOMECOMING SATURDAY
The Knights enter the weekend riding a 29-game conference win streak, which ties the 1982-1987 mark set by Central College. If Wartburg were to beat Dubuque this weekend, that record will be set in the hands of the Knights.

Jaxson Hoppes delivered a school-record breaking 84-yard punt in the second quarter in Wartburg's 27-13 win over Simpson. Hoppes' boot shatters the previous program mark of 64 yards set in 2013 and sits just shy of the Division III all-time list.
