CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Men's soccer led the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) in total All-Conference honorees with seven, the conference announced today. This marks the third-straight season with six or more All-Conference players for Wartburg.

Carson Kay,
Sam McDevitt,
Alima Mmunga,
Kaleab Wendy and
Blake Whitlow were all named All-Conference by the A-R-C. First-year goalkeeper
Joseph Svoboda was named an All-Conference honorable mention.
Gembo is one of three Knights receiving an All-Conference nod in back-to-back seasons. The sophomore midfielder set a career-high in goals (10) and total points (24) so far this season. Gembo has also tallied four assists and three game-winning goals. He has played in all 17 matches this season and has recorded two hat tricks.
Kay is another Knight who has been named All-Conference in each of his two first seasons with the Knights. The sophomore defender has started all 17 matches for Wartburg this season and has tallied two goals. One of his two goals scored from his defender position was a game winner (vs North Central).
McDevitt has earned an All-Conference nod for a second consecutive season in 2025. The Adel, Iowa native has logged the second most minutes this season for the Knights and is a team captain. McDevitt has started all 17 matches for the Knights this season.
Mmunga earned his second career All-Conference honor in 2025 after being named an honorable mention a season ago and an All-Conference honoree in 2023. The Iowa City, Iowa native scored a career-high four goals this season and added three assists for a total of 11 points. The sophomore is the only Knight with a successful penalty kick this season.
Wendy has earned his first career All-Conference nod this season. The sophomore midfielder posted career highs in goals (four), assists (four) and total points (12) so far in 2025. Wendy has appeared in all 17 matches, with seven starts.
Whitlow earned his first All-Conference honor in 2025. Whitlow has started 16 matches for the Knights this season. Whitlow helped anchor the Knights' defense and has also tallied one goal this season (game winner vs Neb. Wesleyan).
Svoboda earned in honorable mention honor after stepping in as the starting goalkeeper for the Knights over the past eight matches. The first-year keeper posted a 5-2-1 record in goal with two shutouts and 22 saves.
