Coaches Comments
"This was the best performance of the season for our women's team," said head coach Alexis Neuer Runk. "This was a critically important finish with sectionals qualifications right around the corner. MIBC #3 the entire team performed well, and it was truly a cohesive effort. They started out the day in 2nd place and held that spot throughout the entire day and brought home their first set of hardware this season!"

"This finish put us in third going into championship Sunday with a chance at the conference title," continued Runk. "We needed to win all three matches to be crowned conference champions. We came out strong the first match and swept Iowa Central 3-0. Unfortunately, we hit a tough pair match two and had suspect spare shooting and fell to Waldorf 0-3. We finished the day on a positive note sweeping Iowa Central again 3-0 to finish third at the conference championships. Excited to get back on the lanes again in Waterloo for our final regular season tournament the Cedar Valley Invite."

Next Time Out
The Knights are back in action next on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 8-9 for the Cedar Valley Invite in Waterloo, Iowa.
