WAVERLY, Iowa – Men's basketball closed the 2024-25 season with an overall record of 16-11 and an American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) record of 8-8 under head coach
Sam Leal in his first season with the Knights.
The Knights improved by 13 total wins and six conference wins from 2023-24 to 2024-25. A 13-win improvement is tied for the second most among all Division III teams in 2024-25. Wartburg qualified for the A-R-C Tournament as the sixth seed and upset Loras College on the road in the first round of the tournament before falling to Nebraska Wesleyan in the semifinals.
Marshun Williams and
Luke Ladwig each earned All-Conference honors this season with Williams being named First Team All-Conference and Ladwig being named an Honorable Mention. Williams also was named Second Team All-Region in Region IX by D3hoops.com.
Brody Bauer,
Evan Gray,
Clay Nielsen and
Richie Rosenblum all earned Academic All-Conference honors this season. Rosenblum is also a College Sports Communicator (CSC) Academic All-District recipient for a third-straight season.
