Knights fall to No. 11 Hawks

MONTGOMERY, Ala.—The Wartburg softball team was swept by No. 11 Huntingdon (14-2 overall) Wednesday. The Hawks won the opener 9-3 and took the finale 9-0 in five innings. This was the fourth Top 25 team Wartburg has faced on the young season.

Game one highlights:
  • The Knights got on the board in their first at-bats as Reagan Hassel drew a bases loaded hit by pitch that scored Sydney Fellows.
  • In the second, Carley Bredar scored on Riley Metz's fielder's choice to take the 2-1 lead
  • Bredar drove home Liz Kruckenberg on her sac fly in the fifth
