DECATUR, Ga.—The Wartburg softball team (3-7 overall) swept Agnes Scott (4-6) 9-0 in five innings and 7-5 in eight innings Thursday to conclude its spring break trip. With the wins, head coach
Jamie Mueller earned her 200
th career victory. All of her victories have been earned at Wartburg. Mueller has the second-most wins in program history (Kara Kehe at 227).
Game one:
- The Knights plated four in the first as Jenna Wiebenga started the scoring with her two-run single
- Riley Metz drove in Alexis Larson on her sac fly and Wiebenga scored on an error
- The Orange and Black added three in the second on RBI singles from Ally Happ, Happ later scored on an error and Larson scored on Reagan Hassel's sac bunt
- Wartburg added one run in the third and fourth on RBIs from Liz Kruckenberg
- Hannah Luellen earned the complete game shutout as she only allowed three hits

Game two
- The Knights took the 2-0 lead in the third on a two-run single from Addy Wells
- The Scotties tallied one in the bottom of the frame on an RBI single
- The Orange and Black answered with three runs in fourth as Luellen drove in Carley Bredar on her double to left and Sydney Fellows launched a two-run homer over left center field
- Agnes Scott knotted it at five all in the bottom of the seventh
- It was unable to execute a walkoff win as with runners on first and third with two outs, the next batter struck out swinging to send it to extra innings
- With two outs and runners on second and third, Luellen hit a double to center which scored both baserunners to reclaim the lead at 7-5
- For the Scotties, they had two outs with a runner on first. On the single, that runner tried to score from first but was thrown out at home by Bredar to seal the win
