WAVERLY, Iowa—The Wartburg softball team (19-13 overall, 8-4 American Rivers) fell 1-0 in 10 innings to No. 23 Central (22-6, 7-3) and fell 8-5 in the finale Tuesday.
Game one
- The game was scoreless and neither team had a baserunner advance past second until the sixth inning
- The Dutch tried to score but the runner was thrown out at home by rightfielder, Ally Happ
Tenth inning
- Central had runners on the corners with one out. An RBI single drove in the one run, and the runner on first was thrown out at third by Happ
- Sydney Fellows drew a walk with one out but was left stranded as the next two batters were retired to give the Dutch the 1-0 win

First inning
- Feeley drove in Fellows and Carley Bredar on her single to centerfield for the early 2-0 lead
Second inning
- Central plated four to claim the lead
- The Knights answered in the bottom of the frame as Happ and Fellows scored on Bredar's sac fly to knot it at four all
Third Inning
- Central scored the go-ahead runs on RBI singles to lead it 6-4
Fifth inning
- An RBI single made it 7-4 for the Dutch
Sixth inning
- Addy Wells drove in Wiebenga from second on her double to right to slice the margin to two at 7-5
Seventh inning
- Central tallied one more on an RBI triple to right
- The Orange and Black were retired in order to seal the sweep
