Cassie Nash named assistant women’s soccer coach

WAVERLY, Iowa—Cassie Nash has been named an assistant coach under women's soccer head coach Emily Ryan, as announced today.

"I am thrilled to announce the addition of Cassie Nash to our women's soccer program as our assistant coach," said Ryan. "Her experience as a standout collegiate athlete in the American Rivers Conference and her commitment to making an impact in the lives of student-athletes truly sets her apart. I am excited to work with her and experience the immediate impact she will have on our program."

Nash was a dual-sport athlete at fellow American Rivers Conference school, Simpson College. As a member of the women's soccer team, she was named the A-R-C offensive MVP in 2022, was a five-time All-Conference selection, and earned three All-American honors.

On the basketball court, she was selected as a two-time A-R-C Defensive Player of the Year and a four-time All-Conference honoree.

"I'm excited to bring my past soccer experience to a program that has a history of greatness and success," said Nash. "I found a home in the A-R-C six years ago and am glad I can continue my career and learn more from Coach Ryan in a strong conference. I'm excited for my next chapter where I will make new memories and build connections that will last a lifetime."

While at Simpson, she was involved with the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Nash earned her bachelor's degree in sports administration in May 2024.

The Lincoln, Neb. native is set to begin her duties on Monday, July 7.
