Men's and Women's Track & Field Earns USTFCCCA Academic Team Award, School-Record 37 Individuals Honored

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana- The Wartburg men's and women's track and field programs both earned All-Academic Team honors for the 2024-25 NCAA Division III indoor and outdoor track & field season from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the national organization announced today.
 
This marked the 20th-straight team honor, and 28th overall, for the women's program, as the Knights had a team GPA of 3.46. The men's team earned the team honor for the 11th time, as they finished with a team GPA of 3.26. 
 
Individually, 24 men and 13 women for the Knights received All-Academic honors, which sets a new combined record. Additionally, the men's program has set a program record.
 
To qualify, student-athletes must own at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA and meet and one of the following athletic criteria:
  • Must have finished the season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 50, but who participated at the Indoor OR Outdoor National Championships, are eligible.
  • Must have competed as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams as listed on the descending order list on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 35 relay teams, but who participated in the relay at the Indoor OR Outdoor National Championships, are eligible. Finally, any competing relay team member on an expanded descending order list to include 35 institutions (1 relay team per institution) is eligible.
