The Wartburg College outdoor track and field teams reset the record books in the shuttle hurdle relays at the 116th Drake Relays.
On the women's side, the quartet of
Grace Braden,
JoJo Tyynismaa,
Ryann Decker, and Caitlin Bensh clocked a school-record 58.05, surpassing the previous mark of 59.46 set in 2013.
The men followed suit, as
Weston Johnson,
Austin Rindels,
Seneca Molstre, and Mitchell Dust posted a program-best 1:00.59 in the 4x110-meter shuttle hurdle relay, eclipsing the former record of 1:01.56 set in 2022.

DRAKE RELAYS
The women's distance medley relay team of
Janae Hansen,
Hannah Ramsey,
Alyssa Blankenship, and Anna Quinlin posted a third-place finish with a time of 12:23.74. The Knights were just behind Dordt University's winning time of 12:03.63 until the last 1600 meters, as Cornell College made a kick at the end to claim second.

Caitlin Benesh shattered the school-record in the women's shuttle hurdle relay with a time of 58.05, besting the previous mark that's been held since 2013 (59.46). As Heat 4 finished, Indiana State University (55.59) took home the crown to top Wartburg's second-place finish.
Fresh off of the women's school record time, the quartet of
Weston Johnson,
Austin Rindels,
Seneca Molstre and Mitchell Dust rewrote the history books with a school record mark of 1:00.59 in the 4x100-meter Shuttle Hurdles. Wartburg place sixth amongst ten teams – five of which were non-Division III institutions (three Division I). Their mark tops the previous program record mark that was held since 2022.

In the women's hammer throw, freshman
Lydia Kriegel placed 15th with a best throw of 42.33 meters (141-02). Another freshman in
Ana Glawe took 20th with a mark of 39.63 meters (130-00), as junior
Addison Phillips finished just behind Glawe with a toss of 39.24 meters (128-09).
Freshman
Deacon Vasey turned in an 11th place finish on the men's side with 45-meters even (147-07).
In the women's javelin, freshman
Kinsly Laudolff was the lone Knight in the event. Laudolff took 11th place with a mark of 24.74 meters (81-02). Turning over to the men, Garret O'Halloran tossed his best mark of 40.78 meters (133-09) on his first attempt to place fifth.
