WHITEWATER, Wis. – Men's Soccer fell to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater 1-0 on the road in the fourth annual battle for the Warhawk Knight Cup on Wednesday, Sept. 24. Wartburg is now 2-4-1 overall this season, while UW-Whitewater moves to 5-2 overall.

- First Half
- Sam McDevitt had the first shot attempt of the match in the second minute when his shot missed high and right
- Kaleab Wendy fired two shot attempts that couldn't find the target as neither team had a shot on goal through 30 minutes of play
- Wartburg's defense stood strong in the 39th and 40th minutes when they held of back-to-back Warhawk corner kicks
- Following a corner kick in the 44th minute, Carson Kay recorded the first shot on goal of the match, but it was saved by the Warhawks to keep the match scoreless
- UW-Whitewater closed the half with a shot on goal of its own that was saved by Henry Eckert to send the match into halftime 0-0
- Second Half
- Flori Gembo came out of halftime firing offensively with two shots on goal saved by UW-Whitewater in the first six minutes of the second half
- Gembo added his third shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the match remained 0-0
- Gembo added a fourth shot on goal of the half and then Lwings Kabula fired a shot on goal minutes later, but the UW-Whitewater keeper made two more saves to keep the match scoreless
- A long throw in from the Warhawks led to a goal in the 82nd minute when Hayden Saul fired a shot through a crowd to take a 1-0 lead
- The Warhawks held off the Knights in the final minutes to close out a 1-0 win
