St. Joseph, Minn. – Women's soccer secured its first win of the 2025 season with a second-half comeback led by two goals from
Nikayla Youngblut to lead the Knights over the College of Saint Benedict 2-1 on Saturday, Sept. 6.

- First Half
- CSB got the match underway and wasted no time scoring with a goal in the first 30 seconds of play
- Nikayla Youngblut answered with a shot on goal a minute later that was saved by the Bennies
- Maya Anderson, Sami Webster and Youngblut kept the offensive pressure for the Knights, but were unable to beat the keeper early into the first half
- Skyler Oldenburg had back-to-back shots on goal saved in the 29th minute and then minutes later Webster fired another shot on goal that was saved by CSB
- Claudia Sewell had a shot on goal saved on one end and Mackenzie Ceschan made a save for the Knights on the other end to keep the score 1-0 headed into halftime
- Second Half
- After knocking on the door of a goal all first half, Youngblut found the back of the net following a corner kick and assist from Oldenburg to tie the match in the 50th minute
- Both Oldenburg and Younblut registered shots on goal that were saved minutes later, but the Knights kept attacking offensively
- A corner kick opportunity in the 61st minute led to another Youngblut goal that put Wartburg ahead 2-1
- Ellianna Trilling fired a shot on goal following the goal kickoff but was unable to beat the keeper
- Wartburg's defense stood tall in the 72nd minute after a shot defelcted off the crossbar and then another shot was saved by Ceschan for the Knights
- Ceschan made two more saves in the final 10 minutes to help secure a 2-1 victory for Wartburg
