"The whole goal is that we want them at their best four times a year. Indoor conference, indoor nationals, outdoor conference, and outdoor nationals. You have to be mindful in the periodization of your training and what that looks like in the summer months" said Head Coach

This year's indoor conference meet will be held on Feb 27 (Fri) - Feb 28 (Sat) in Decorah and the NCAA Indoor Championships meet will be held on Mar 13 (Fri) - Mar 14 (Sat) in Birmingham.
"We got a very talented team, incredible leadership, and we are definitely extremely excited about what the indoor season is going to look like," said Newsom.
Women
Last Season
Wartburg placed second in the Indoor American Rivers Conference Championships in Waverly.
JoJo Tyynismaa won the most valuable track performer award at the Indoor American Rivers Conference Championships and earned All-Conference honors in the 400m (first place), 60m hurdles (first place), 200m (second place) and 4x400m (second place).

JoJo Tyynismaa represented the Knights in the 4x400m.

Ellie Meyer's mile time broke the facility record.

th at the Indoor NCAA Championships in Rochester, New York.
Emma True earned First-team All-America honors in the weight throw (fourth place),
JoJo Tyynismaa earned First-team All-America honors in the 60m hurdles (eighth place),
Grace Braden earned Second-team All-America honors in the 60m hurdles (13
th place), and
Ellie Meyer earned Second-team All-America honors in the mile (16
th place).

Wartburg won their 14th Indoor American Rivers Conference Championship (dating back to 1998).
Elliott Bond won the rookie of the year and earned All-American honors in the long jump (second-place). Wartburg (HC:
Marcus Newsom) won the coaching staff of the year.
