ST. LOUIS, Missouri- The Wartburg men's and women's track and field teams competed at the WashU Distance Carnival this evening.
Lance Sobaski earned a second place finish in the 3000m steeplechase.

RUNNING EVENTS
(M) 3000m Steeplechase:
Lance Sobaski put together an exceptional performance with the third-fastest time in NCAA Division III history of 8:40.85 to take second place. Sobaski remains second on the program's top 10 list, but improves his time. Sobaski tops the TFRRS list for this outdoor season, claiming the top spot by just less than 20 seconds.
Aidan Decker earned a top 10 finish with a time of 9:23.84, which stands seventh on the TFRRS list for this season.
Garrison Hubka finished with a time of 9:25.15, which stands ninth on the TFRRS list for this season.
Conner Sattler finished with a time of 9:36.86, which stands 19
th on the TFRRS list for this season.
Clay Warson finished with a time of 9:39.05, which stands 20
th on the TFRRS list for this season.

Maddie Merna led the Knights in the event with a time of 11:16.12. Merna remains eighth on the program's top 10 list, but improves her time. Merna stands sixth on the TFRRS list for this season. Anna Quillan ran a time of 11:34.19, which stands 17
th on the TFRRS list for this season.
Lily Peterson followed with a time of 11:50.29.

Logan Rosas was the lone competitor for the Knights in the event. Rosas finished with a time of 1:52.97, which stands seventh on the TFRRS list for this season.
